Deadpool:The Movie Motivational Poster

Yeah I gotta be honest, I don't think 2016 will be a good year for comic book movies (I hope I'm wrong though). What do I mean by that? Well lets go through the movies coming out before I get to the Deadpool movie.

X-men: Apocalypse. I just gotta ask, does anyone care about the X-men movies anymore? I'm sure some people do, but I pretty much stopped watching them after X-men: First Class. So I don't have an over all opinion on this movie. And yes, I saw what Apocalypse looked like, and I know the negative reception of him. My thoughts? It was quite obvious of how he would look. Since when did the X-men movie characters look like their comic book counter part? Will this movie be good. Maybe, but I have no interests in it.

Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice. This movie is on my black list. I know that this movie will fail. DC and WB are trying to catch up with Marvel and Disney, that they are putting everything (characters and money) into this movie. This movie will be bad simply because of the way DC is presenting their superheroes. Dark and gritty. There is nothing wrong with a dark and gritty superhero, unless it fits the character. It didn't fit for Superman, it didn't fit for the Spiderman reboots, it really didn't work for the Fantastic 4 reboot, and it is not going to fit for every god damn character in the DC universe that is not related to Batman. Not every character in the DC universe is supposed to brood like Batman. Hell not every character is supposed to be like Batman. I think the reason why DC wants to turn their bright, hopeful superheroes into a goth kids wet dream, is because they are embarrassed of them. They are embarrassed of how optimistic, and silly they are. I also believe that DC hates superheroes, and they don't believe that  superheroes should save people. DC comics is nothing more than soap opera fan fiction, made by a depressed cynic that jerks off to Batman (I'm picking on Batman in this a lot, am I ?). So the basic theme of Batman vs Superman in the comics is light vs dark. In this movie how ever...

*GRUNT!!!* *FIGHT!!!!*

Yeah, this movie will suck. And no, putting Batman in film won't save it.

Captain America: Civil War. Oh boy, this will cause some controversy. Now why would I think this movie won't be any good? Well let me ask you this. When ever a Marvel movie franchise hits number 3, is it any good? Was Spiderman 3, X-men 3, or Ironman 3 good? They might be for some, but not for me. They're usually underwhelming or really disappointing. I fear that Captain America 3 will be part of what I call "The Marvel Trilogy Curse". It goes something like this. First movie is good, second movie is usually better, third movie bad. Yes, the trailer may look nice, but that doesn't guarantee that the movie will be good. Most of the time, these movies would screw up the heroes, the villains, or both. Speaking of villains, lets talk about the villain for Civil War, Baron Zemo (there are different versions of this character. Right now, this is Helmut Zemo, son of the original Baron Zemo named  Heinrich Zemo ) . Next to the Red Skull, Baron Zemo (which in this movie will be played by Daniel Bruhl) is Captain America's dangerous enemies, and he's well known for his iconic purple mask to hide his scared face (like father like son). How ever according to Daniel, Baron Zemo won't wear his iconic mask and the character will be different. Table Flip  Are you serious? You're going to introduce a character from the comics, and not have him be anything like his source material? Bull Shit!!! If you're going to make a live action version of a cartoon, video game, or comic book character, either you get the character right, or don't use him/her at all.  Now you might say that he can't wear the mask because he'll look silly. If that's the case, then Batman shouldn't wear a mask or dress up like a bat. Now Daniel hinted that Baron Zemo might return in future Marvel movies, so he might get his mask later on, and Civil War will just be a character introduction for him. This wouldn't be the first time Marvel has done this. They did it plenty of times before. We didn't get to see War Machine until Ironman 2, Brock Rumlow who was introduced in Winter Soldier will become Crossbones in Civil War, and during the credits of Ant-Man, we get to see the Wasp costume that Hope will wear in Ant-Man 2. So maybe something will happen to Helmut, that will result him in getting the mask. And since he'll be different from the comic version, instead of Adhesive X ( a chemical that bonded the mask to Heinrich Zemo's face permanently) maybe the I.F.I.D ( Institute For Infectious Disease) will play a part in him getting the mask. Maybe he'll wear a purple life support armor, similar to the bleeding edge armor that Tony Stark will wear in the film. I truly don't know. Maybe they'll just use him, then get rid of him. Daniel said that fans will be surprised. That's a bad sign when an actor or a director says the fans will be surprised. I really don't want this film to be disappointing.

So now we come to the Deadpool movie. Just like the Fantastic Four, Deadpool wasn't treated well by Hollywood. In X-men Origins: Wolverine, instead of a trash talking mercenary in a red and black suit, he was...... lets just say he looked like Baraka from Mortal Kombat (Baraka img06.deviantart.net/044c/i/20…)(Deadpool www.scifigenre.com/itemimages/…) Why did they change him? Because fuck the fans. There were rumors of a Deadpool movie coming out, but I thought that was a lie. Until I saw the trailers, and said to myself "YES!!" This is the Deadpool we wanted. Crude, immature, and funny as hell. This movie looks as if it doesn't give a fuck, but in a good way. What I mean is that this movie was made superficially for fans who love Deadpool and no one else. So there is a chance that this movie will be awesome. Or maybe this film will be bad (This is a 20th Century Fox film after all). Only time will tell. Hell, maybe none of these films will be bad. Only time will tell. So grab your chimichanga, and wish Deadpool the best of luck.
